Overview

Earned.no is a commission and payroll-basis platform for insurance franchise offices in Norway. An office's month-end — carrier exports in, corrected and approved payouts out — runs as a transparent, stepwise flow rather than as a spreadsheet that one person understands.

Parts of the source data are human decisions by design, because the upstream systems disagree with each other. Earned treats high-quality manual entry as core product rather than as a fallback: search, drafts, an audit trail, and overrides that never destroy the value they replace.

Every derived number traces back to the record it came from, and the work is grouped into steps rather than presented as one dense table. A disagreement about a payout becomes something two people can look at together instead of something they argue about.

# What it is Why it matters
01 Manual input is a feature, not a fallback Some of the month's numbers are judgement calls, and no amount of parsing removes them. Treating those entries as first-class — searchable, drafted, audited, reversible — is the difference between a system people trust and one they keep a spreadsheet beside.
02 Every number traces to its source The argument at month-end is almost never about the rate. It is about which deals counted, when they closed, and whose name was on them. Those are questions with answers, and the answers are already in the export.
03 Ingest that does not dead-end Native parsing is the fast path; novel file shapes fall back to a sandbox rather than to an error. A failure is isolated and retried, not handed to the user as a wall.
04 Inside the EEA Infrastructure is EU-pinned, private file storage sits in EU jurisdiction, and AI subprocessors are named in the data processing agreement. Payroll basis is not data that should leave the region it was earned in.
